What's Happening and When...
Friday Evening party and Kafana 7:30 - midnight – $15
The festival begins Friday evening at 7:30. There will be activities in two rooms.
In the gym will be mostly recorded music with requests interspersed within a planned program of dances. Each teacher will also have a short period to present an introductory dance. Towards the end of the party, the Rakia Brass Band will play their second set of the evening.
Concurrently, the Kafana will be in the cafeteria next door. This will feature live music for your dancing or listening pleasure by Whirled Peas, Rakia Brass Band, and Veselba. Snacks will be available. During the lulls between bands, everyone is invited to the gym for the short introductory dance presentation by our teachers, Michael Ginsburg and Jerry (and Jill) Duke (accompanied by Whirled Peas).
Move between rooms along the "candlelit" path as you wish.
Saturday Morning Workshop 9:30-11:30 – $10
Each teacher will have about an hour to present dances.

Saturday Evening 6:30 - 1:00 – $17
Start with a 1 hour singing workshop from 6:30-7:30 in one of the classrooms near the gym. This session will be taught by Mary Ann Downs from Eastern Exposure.
Dance Concert 7:30 - 8:15. Grab a seat in the bleachers and watch 3 groups of dancers perform.
Dance Party and Afterparty 8:15-1:00. Eastern Exposure will play a variety of truly danceable tunes possibly supplemented by some recorded music. The teachers will also lead some of the dances they taught during the day. Later in the evening the all-request afterparty begins. Snacks will be available during the afterparty.
For your convenience we’ll have an all-Saturday ticket available in the morning for $40.
Sunday Dancing – $15
Dance Reviews 10:00 - 11:30
The teachers will review the dances they previously taught
Lunch 11:30 - 12:30
If you purchased the Greek lunch, stick around and eat. This is similar to last year’s lunch with Greek food from Daphne’s along with some fruit and drinks. Please try to order your lunch when you pre-register so we have a reasonable idea of how many lunches are needed. The actual dead-line to order lunch is 11:00 Saturday morning so we can call Daphne’s with the final count.
Otherwise you’re welcome to try another local lunch establishment.
Kolo Hour 12:30 - 1:30
Request and dance your favorite kolos
Concert number 2 1:30 - 2:15
Back to bleachers to watch 3 more groups perform ethnic dances from here, there and where.
Party 2:15 - 4:30
You make this party – request your favorites
Help! 4:30 - 5:30
We’ve had fun, we’re tired. Many hands make things easier. Please stick around for a little while and help de-decorate and cleanup the gym. Thanks.
The whole weekend passport costs $60 at the door. Events are also priced indivdually at the door.
